Happy hour

Every happy hour we can stand behind in Jacksonville, with what is actually cheaper rather than the words “drink specials”. Windows change without notice — the venue is the source of truth.

Friday20 places

  • 11am–5pmMon–Fri

    Lemon BarWeekday happy hour

    Neptune Beach $$

Six hours of it, from the moment the bar opens. All wells are $4, house wines are $4, and drafts are $4 or $5 depending on the pour - the menu tells you to ask your server which. It is the cheap end of a list whose specialty drinks otherwise run $10 and whose frozen drinks run $12 to $15.

  • noon–2amFri

    Sherwood'sFriday lemon drop shots

    San Marco $

Flavoured lemon drop shots at $6 to start the weekend. No other Friday discount is published, and the price is not tied to a stated window.

  • 2–10pmFri

    Al's PizzaFriday happy hour

    Jax Beach $$

The same $3 draft beers and house wines as the rest of the week, but Friday it runs from two in the afternoon straight through to closing at ten.

  • 3–7pmMon–Fri

    Lynch's Irish PubWeekday happy hour

    Jax Beach $$

Domestic drafts drop to $3 and Tullamore Dew to $4, with a $5 tier covering Stoli and its flavours, Hendrick’s gin, Milagro tequila, Jack Daniel’s, Sailor Jerry rum and house wines. No food specials are attached.

  • 3–6pmMon–Fri

    Mojo Bar-B-QueWeekday happy hour

    San Marco $$

A dollar off beer and wine, and that is the whole of it - the restaurant names no qualifying beers or wines, publishes no food discount and has no separate happy hour menu. Its FAQ puts it as “All hours spent at Mojo are happy ones, but the Happiest of Hours occur Monday-Friday from 3-6”.

  • 3–6pmSun & Tue–Sat

    Posting HouseDaily happy hour

    San Marco $$

The bar publishes the window — “Happy Hour daily, 3-6pm” — and not much else. The one clue to what moves is the House Club membership, which is sold partly on “Happy Hour on house drafts all day every day”, so the house taps are the line that comes down. Off the standard list, draft beer runs $7 to $8 and the tap wines $8 to $9, with glasses of champagne and sparkling from $8.

  • 3–7pmEvery day

    The Casbah CafeDaily happy hour

    Avondale $$$

Discounted beer, wine and wells, and discounted hookahs, every day of the week from 3 to 7. The Casbah publishes no prices for any of it. Hookah service is 21 and over, needs two forms of ID and requires a drink order - water counts if you are eating - and carries a $100 damage charge.

  • 3–7pmMon–Sat

    V PizzaSidecar happy hour

    San Marco $$

V Pizza publishes the window for Sidecar, the cocktail bar inside its San Marco store, but not what comes off the price. Its bars page says only “Happy Hour Every day 3-7PM” against a list of house cocktails, microbrews and spirits, and tells drinkers to ask for the Cocktail of the Week. Sunday runs on a different, all-day window and is filed separately.

  • 3.30–6.30pmTue–Sat

    Joseph's PizzaHappy hour

    Northside $$

Three-dollar pizza slices, with toppings from 65 cents; $3 Bud Light, Yuengling, Michelob Ultra and Duval Light, on draft or in domestic bottles; and $5 house wine, the choice being Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, White Zinfandel or Chardonnay. It is dine-in only, though the restaurant notes that togo and curbside are available at ordinary prices.

  • 4–7pmTue–Sat

Cowford ChophouseBar and rooftop happy hour

    Downtown $$$$$

The steakhouse opens at four and dinner service does not start until five, and that hour-plus gap is the happy hour, taken at the bar or upstairs on the roof looking across to the Southbank. The restaurant’s own description of the rooftop is that it is where the “casual happy hour gatherings” happen. What comes down in price is not published: the menus page has gone and the only menus the site links now are the spring 2026 dinner and dessert PDFs.

  • 4–6pmSun & Tue–Sat

    Gemma Fish + OysterHappy hour

    San Marco $$$

Half-price wines by the glass, $1 off draft beer and a selection of cocktails at $8, with a short bar menu running alongside: Lil’ Tempura $6, Truffle Fries $7, Fried Fish Bites $8, Jerk Chicken Skewers $10, a Tuna Poke Bowl $12 and a chef’s-choice dozen of raw oysters at market price. It runs every day the restaurant opens except Monday.

  • 4–6pmSun & Tue–Fri

    Restaurant OrsayCocktail hour

    Avondale $$$$

Orsay runs cocktail hour from 4 to 6pm on every day it opens except Saturday, when it starts at 11am instead. Gulf coast oysters come down to $2 apiece on the cocktail hour menu, which the kitchen runs as a section of the raw bar alongside discounted bar snacks and drinks. The restaurant is shut on Mondays, so the window covers Tuesday to Friday and Sunday.

  • 4–6pmMon–Fri

    River & PostWeekday happy hour

    Riverside $$$

Wine by the glass is half price, well liquor drinks are $5, beers are $2 off, and wings and flatbreads are half price. It runs in the first-floor dining room and on the ninth-floor rooftop lounge, which is first-come, first-served and does not take reservations.

  • 4–6pmSun & Tue–Sat

    TavernaDaily happy hour

    San Marco $$$

Taverna runs happy hour every day it opens, which is Tuesday through Sunday, from 4 to 6pm. It is one of the nine menus the restaurant publishes separately, sitting alongside the cheese and salumi list and Kiley Efron’s wine-by-the-glass list, and the kitchen also offers it to go.

    Menu ↗
  • 4–7pmMon–Sat

    The GarageHappy hour

    Riverside $$

A dollar off draft beer, $1 glasses of wine and $3.75 for all 3 Olives vodka. That is the whole published list: no food deal, and nothing on the cocktails or on the rest of the wine.

  • 4.30–6.30pmMon–Fri

    Matthew's RestaurantM Lounge happy hour

    San Marco $$$$$

Two dollars off bar bites, beer, wine by the glass, craft cocktails and house spirits, plus a $10 price on Grey Goose and Buffalo Trace cocktails. It is lounge-only — the restaurant states “Monday-Friday 4:30pm-6:30pm | Only in the M Lounge” — and the lounge itself is open from 4.30pm to 10pm on weekdays. Dress is business casual and guests who do not meet it are seated in the lounge rather than the dining room.

  • 5–6.30pmMon–Fri

Blue Bamboo Canton Bistro6-8-12 happy hour

Everything on the bar menu lands at $6, $8 or $12, dine-in only, in the Mandarin Bar. At $6 it is rose, Asahi, the Shanghai Sangria, Local Lemonade, veggie spring rolls and pork potstickers; at $8 chardonnay, Lucky Chicken, Do You Know the Way to San Jose, Gin and Juice Jade, the Tigerita, pork egg rolls and coconut shrimp; at $12 cabernet, the Midnight Mandarin Express Martini, the house-infused old fashioned, the Pika Punch Martini, pineapple chicken and crab rangoon.

  • 5–7pmMon–Fri

    RogueWeekday happy hour

    Riverside $

A dollar off drafts and a dollar off well drinks, with the $5 Blue Plate - a PBR and a whiskey shot - listed alongside. Rogue publishes nothing else: no food deal, and no discount on the whiskey selection the bar is known for.

    Atlantic Beach $$$

Bud Light, Miller Lite and Yuengling drafts are $3.50, house wines $5, and house margaritas, house Bloody Marys and Skyy vodka martinis $5. The bar is a full one with an oyster bar alongside it; raw oysters, steamed oysters and steamed clams are $17 a dozen and an oyster shooter $5.25 off the regular menu, none of which is discounted.
